This picture of an iconic red squirrel is based on a photograph taken by Jane through her studio window in the Ullswater Valley. It has been created using a combination of wet felting, needle felting and hand embroidery techniques, using locally sourced wool and alpaca fibres. The squirrel is holding a neatly halved hazelnut from under the squirrel feeder in her garden, that has then been through the washing machine!  The picture comes mounted and framed, as shown in the photograph and once framed measures approx 33.5 cm square.
